If the designer is sure that the technology to be used is not appropriate for the learning experience anticipated, then, however little the cost may be, it is not going to be the right one and thus this creates a dilemma on the side of the designer.  A logic the manager mentions is that her\/his kids use the technologies and they do great with the technologies and in the same token employees of the company can use the technologies and get the needed training.  Here the manager is not considering the difference between the two groups who may have their own preferences, different as they are.  But the designer knows that there are differences among the different groups and all technologies do not serve the same to all.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe professional designer would first consider the method of learning and then select the appropriate technology for that method of learning than being biased towards fancy technology that may not serve to deliver the learning experience.  Technology centered approach may not go far in facilitating a learning. The designer could be in dilemma because he\/she knows the principles and processes of learning that can help construct an appropriate learning experience rather than being led by technology driven approach, because if principles and processes of learning are not considered then what is designed may not lead towards the desired result.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe designer also needs to consider research results that about the effectiveness of the technology for the particular learning experience.  Thus, if research findings support the effectiveness of the particular technology, then the technology can be used and not simply because of its newness or availability that the technology must be used.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nA designer may experience this type of dilema but the designer has to be knowledgeable and convincing as to why technology centered approach in not always the right approach when designing training or any other learning experience.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]}],"more":false},"comments":[]},"http":{"code":200,"status":"OK"},"redirectUrl":null,"javascript":null,"notices":{"warning":[],"error":[],"info":[],"success":[]}}
