How Multimedia Theory is Applied to the Design
Talking to a mentor is a reflective form of practice. TAs will discuss their experiences in the classroom and in doing so they develop metacognitive strategies for future similar situations. Mentoring is a form of cognitive apprenticeships http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnbmLHgQWqQ

How Multimedia Theory is Applied to the Design
The case study strategy exemplifies Clark's guided discovery architecture - knowledge is constructed, interactivity is high, and problem-solving and prioritization of thinking is applied.
According to Dr. Lohr, this might be improved by providing individual students with case-study scripts. A group of students would be asked to visit this room at the same time. During that time student's avatars will act out part of a case study according to the script they have been provided. This makes the room more interactive than simply clicking on a case study link. Until the scripts can be user-tested, however, this storyboard can be used.

    Future plan

    According
to showexternal reviewer, Dr. James Gall, this experience would be more motivating and effective if the room were designed as a "syllabus hall"Syllabus Hall of fame" would useFame" with pictures and artifacts of good syllabi throughout UNC. Showing similar syllabi uses a "concept" generating graphic - showing similar content.instructional strategy, the concept generated being "the components of effective syllabi."
